Christmas seems like such a long time ago, doesn’t it? But I’ve only just got round to getting festive piccies off my camera. These are from the week before Christmas, when we attended Chorlton Festival’s 12 Days of Christmas market.
The shop was let out to us and four other designer-makers, and it was really fun to pretend we had a shop, if just for a day! The location was excellent and it was so nice to meet the residents of Chorlton. We’re really excited to do more here in 2012.
Our shop for the day
Fi with our stall (staying warm with a cup of tea!)
Handwarmers have been very popular in the winter months – these were my last two!
I’ve been making a lot more textile jewellery recently, incorporating my love of vintage fabrics and embroidery – expect to see more of this in 2012
Pretty purses (and more tea! It was very chilly in there)
These badges (handpainted by me) are the latest addition to our range.
Lots of owls! (Did you know that a collection of owls is called a parliament? I just had to look that up). I love the little crocheted fellas.
We may not have had much snow, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have snowmen
You may recognise this chap from our new year message. Some have said he’s a mouse, or an elephant(!), but he is most definitely a polar bear.
Our big sis Jen came along to support us. Thanks to her and all our friends who came to say ‘hi’
Me & Fi!
We met some lovely people at the market, including Michelle Laverty who made these beautiful ceramics. She also had some amazing screen prints, which I stupidly failed to get pictures of. A very talented lady.
Machine embroidered pictures and journals by Amy Brook
And that brings to an end our day. By night fall we were feeling very festive and ready for Christmas. What a nice way to end a brilliant year in which we started out on our business adventure.
We’re looking forward to more fun and fairs in 2012.
