Happy Saturday people! I’m writing today’s Blog Every Day in May entry on a VERY packed train to Liverpool where I’m escaping for the day.
I read alot of blogs and when I was compiling this list I realised that what makes me really get into a blog seems to be a good mix of content – useful tips and DIYs, a look at what people are wearing or making (cause I’m nosy) and just little glimpses into people’s everyday lives. Ultimately, people find other people interesting and, for me, that’s what blogging is about.
So, without further ado, here are my five faves…
I love Sophie’s style and the laid-back vintage aesthetic of her blog. I’ve been reading her posts for a few years and have enjoyed following her journey through creativity, starting a family business and living a more simple life.
Sarah is quite frankly one of the coolest bloggers I know of. She quit her day job to become a web designer AND aerial artist! Her blog is full of geeky coding tips, but also her day to day life.
Sarah Von rules my world! Her blogs are funny but full of useful advice on work, travel, life and loves that always seems to kick my ass when I need it most. She also runs a monthly ‘network of nice’ for people to help each other out and her small business blog is also full of useful advice on marketing and the web.
I follow a lot of blogs with outfit posts but Kaylah’s really is my favourite. Her sense of vintage style and love of colour (that hair!) is awesome, and I’m also into nature, foraging and cats. It’s basically all my favourite things in a blog.
Looking at my blog reader list, about 90% are American, but there a few British blogs that really stand out. I’ve admired Katie’s design work since I first saw it years ago on Folksy. Her blog is full of her gorgeous design work, dreamy London flat, cats, beautiful photos and cooking so yummy it can only really be described as ‘food porn’.
What are some of your favourite blogs? Leave a comment, I love to find new ones.
